Research interests:
 

I specialize in molecular and structural biology, biophysics and recombinant expression technologies.  Currently, my research interest is focused on the study of luciferase with the aim to develop a luciferase with improved properties such as increased brightness or stability.

  • Proteins – structure and function

Presentations on the basic principles of protein structure, synthesis, and function.

  • Protein crystallography

By completing the course, the student will gain basic information in the field of protein crystallography as well as practical experience in bacterial protein production and protein crystallization.

  • Mathematical description of physical models

Introduction to mathematical description of physical models describing experimental measurements of thermal stability, enzyme catalysis, ligand binding.
