CIB participation in INTEGRATED SERVICES FOR INFECTIOUS DISEASE OUTBREAK RESEARCH – ISIDORe
RNDr. Veronika Huntošová, PhD. is one of the users whose project is supported by ISIDORe, a large-scale multidisciplinary consortium addressing the users’ needs.
ISIDORe provides an integrated portfolio of cutting-edge research services and resources to study epidemic-prone pathogens including SARS-CoV-2.
The COVID-19 pandemic has confirmed that there is a crucial need for a higher capacity of preparedness and responsiveness to epidemic-prone pathogens in Europe and globally. Launched in Spring 2022, and complementing the data-centred BY-COVID, ISIDORe offers an unprecedented One Health-driven, integrated portfolio of research services and resources, ranging from the most fundamental to the most applied, and including social sciences, to advance the study of epidemic-prone pathogens, including SARS-CoV-2
As a member of UK International Coronavirus Network (UK-ICN), Dr. Huntošová has participated on 28th May 2024 at ISIDORe User’s conference in Brussels (Belgium) and presented her ISIDORe project: “Interaction of metal organic framework transport system for antivirotics delivery with cells affected by SARS-CoV-2”.
Within this project we have established together with assoc. prof. Almáši group the international collaboration with Dr. Vamosi group at the Department of Biophysics and Cell Biology at Faculty of Medicine (University of Debrecen). Our research is supported by Euro-BioImaging (www.eurobioimaging.eu, https://ror.org/05d78xc36) that provide us the access to imaging technologies and services via the Cellular Imaging Hungary Node (Debrecen, Hungary) and funding via the ISIDORe project under Horizon Europe grant number 101046133.
