RNDr. Ivana Timková, PhD.

Current position:

Research Scientist at the Center for Interdisciplinary Sciences from 7/2024

Education:

08/2021 – PhD. degree in Molecular cytology

Faculty of Science, Pavol Jozef Safarik University in Kosice, Slovakia

06/2017 – MSc. degree in Genetics and Molecular cytology

Faculty of Science, Pavol Jozef Safarik University in Kosice, Slovakia

Research interests:

I am specialized in techniques of environmental microbiology and molecular biology including DNA manipulation and molecular cloning. Currently, my research interest is focused on the study of haloalkane dehalogenases (HLDs) with the aim to develop proteins with increased stability and catalytic properties and thus to establish an efficient method of HLDs production for biotechnological applications.
